Job description
The Chief Engineer is responsible to the Captain for the management of the Engine Department. Supervises and coordinates the operations and maintenance of all onboard machinery.
Responsibilities and tasks

Manage, direct and supervise the duties of the Engine Department.

Responsible for the maintenance of the main engine and electrical equipment on board.

Compliance and monitoring of activities related to the Maintenance Plan of the Engine Department.
Certifications and requirements

Licence updated.

IMO courses.

Valid medical certificate.

Advanced training for oil and chemical tanker cargo operation.
